About Jenny

Jenny Athanas is a nurse coach who helps women take back their health through nutrition and lifestyle practices. After spending over 20 years as a nurse, Jenny believes that much of the power to heal and change lies within the person themselves. Thoughts, daily actions and nutrition do matter when it comes to health. Each person is also unique and a personalized approach to health is important.

Jenny knows personally what it means to struggle with health. After the birth of her first child, she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, also known as an underactive thyroid. This condition significantly impacted both her mental and physical health. Medications alone were not working. She has spent the last decade exploring lifestyle and wellness practices that have helped her take back her health and live a healthy, energized, vibrant life. She is passionate about helping other women do the same.

Jenny holds a Master’s degree in Nursing and is board certified as a nurse coach (NC-BC). She is a graduate of Full Body Systems, a program that specializes in functional nutrition. She has worked in public health, maternal-child health, school nursing and is currently a clinical instructor at UW-Madison where she enjoys sharing her passion for functional health and lifestyle practices with her students.

Outside of the passion of coaching, Jenny loves spending time with her husband, two kids and mini goldendoodle puppy, Ellie. She has a love for travel and can’t wait for that next international trip. She also enjoys being in nature, a place where she can breathe, heal and feel alive!
